After successful completion of the training, the user will be able to:
- Evaluate the worthiness of a certain service/good before buying it through an online shopping platform.
- Safely shop online. The user will be aware of the security basic in order to safely buy online.

How to identify missing information and fake news online in a culture relevant context

By the end of this module you will acquire knowledge in regard to recognition of fake news and missing information as well online security in cultural context.
The module consists of four units providing information related to the topic in different sections. Different activities and acknowledgments are supported with examples for a better understanding of the material, explanatory photos and useful links to expand your knowledge on the topic.

Platforms promoting culture and how they work

The courses will focus on the 5 themes identified in S.O.S. Creativity as crucially important for the digital skills of low-skilled adults:

  • Cultural and Media Literacy which is the ability to identify and use different types of online cultural resources, creativity tools and media. The Consortium will develop and collect tutorials to enable late digitals to use free online cultural resources and creativity tools. These training contents will also give live to an online digital repository and toolkit of cultural resources and creative tools.
  • Personal data protection which will provide end-users with effective tools, guidelines, clear explanation to protect and promote the safeguarding of the personal data and rights of Data Subjects when surfing the Net, using cultural contents, from mobiles or laptop or using apps.
  • Economic Transactions which will provide end-users with strategies to preserve them when performing an economic transaction online and make them aware of potential risks and unclassified attacks on their computer and other digital devices. As often when late digital are asked to buy online ebooks, cultural contents or creativity tools found themselves easily cheated with dramatic economic and personal consequences.
  • Online security which will develop core concepts needed to assess, and protect information security systems to make late digitals aware of the potential scams of fraud they could meet on the web while using or searching for cultural resources.
  • Digital Identity and online reputation which will provide does and don’ts such as Do not use public computers, Set a strong and complex password, Make sure you are using a secure connection etc. to protect you digital identity.
