E-Seniors recently shared the results of the Erasmus + project at two online events. While it may be easier to set up an online event and save the logistics of meeting face-to-face, these online events are also great opportunities that can sometimes bring better results.

Many people agree that our lifestyles have changed since the Covid-19 and the successive lockdowns that shook Europe. We have learned to appreciate the comforts of our homes, whether for work or for pleasure. We are perhaps less willing to leave them now.

We have experienced this at E-Seniors, but we also face another difficulty specific to our target group, seniors. Senior citizens are sometimes less willing to leave their homes or are wary of their health. For a long time, they were told that it was safer to stay at home and be safe from Covid. E-Seniors decided, as part of this project, and in order to reach a larger number of people, to use its skills and experience to promote the project directly online, through two events.

The first event was a webinar organised by a Greek partner with whom the organisation works, on the theme of ageing well, on 25 January 2023. This webinar was attended by more than 60 people and gave E-Seniors the opportunity to present, in English, the project as a whole, the partners, the results and to present the platform set up and all that it offers to its users.

E-Seniors also organised an online multiplier event on 23 February 2023 with 15 people, in addition to the two E-Seniors organisers, present, mainly aimed at French seniors who have already had contact with the association. In addition to the presentation of the results, the association was able to organise two virtual tours available in the digital library of the platform:

• The Lascaux Caves (France)
• The cultural heritage of Tryavna (Bulgaria)

These online presentations allowed the participants to see directly the remote opportunities offered by this project and this content by experiencing it directly with our guidance.
